Like the strong, imperfect oak trees that took my breath away the first day I stepped foot on the farm back in 2014, the dream of Twisted Oak Farm began long before I purchased this serene landscape.

The seedling of my dream began years before as a little girl, with a passion for creating beautiful spaces. As a child, my favorite book was a children’s craft book called “Holidays and Birthdays.” I was absolutely enamored by the idea of not only inviting people to beautiful celebrations I planned and designed myself, but creating special moments they would remember forever.

The imaginative parties I used to plan in my own bedroom as a child was the start of a bigger dream that slowly continued to grow into a reality as an adult.

I knew there was something incredibly special about the peaceful beauty of the wide open green pastures behind the landscape of the twisted oak trees on my newly purchased farm.

Set in the middle of this picturesque backdrop was the rustic yet charming barn that had so much character. I fell in love! I knew in my heart it would be a place that amazing memories would be made, but had no idea that these memories would be those of families from near and far who would come together and celebrate their love and lives together at our beautiful farm.

It all began when a friend asked me one day what I thought about her and her fiancé getting married in the barn. Although I knew the space had lots of potential, at the time it was a dirty, grungy old barn that had not been used for years. I couldn’t imagine anyone wanting to get married in that messy place, but offered it to her if she wanted to help clean it up.

And there it was—this dream of creating beautiful spaces and hosting memorable celebrations took even more shape in my heart as I began to imagine what it could look like in the future. We turned a run down space into something lovely, becoming Twisted Oak Farm.    

After that first wedding, word began to spread about our sweet little venue, and the phone hasn’t stopped ringing since.

Today, many weddings later, I can’t think of anything I would rather be pouring my heart and soul into. Seeing the joy on a bride’s face when she and her new spouse stroll back down the aisle together as a newly married couple, is my absolute favorite part of a wedding day. And that’s only the beginning! I have the privilege of seeing each couple’s unique style and meeting their family and friends as we plan their special day at our venue. I love how each wedding is different and reflects the relationship of the couple so uniquely.

I get to offer each individual couple my care and attention as we build a relationship throughout the planning process. It’s a privilege to be a part of sharing in their vision for their big day and getting to know the details of their love story.
